1. Introduction

Bagchaal ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile board game based on the traditional Nepali game Bagh Chal (Tigers & Goats). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive the name, email address, and profile picture that provider chooses to share. Signing in with Apple's “Hide My Email” gives us only a relay address.
• Game Data: We store your game history, match results, win/loss records, and ELO rating for online play.
• Crash Reports: When the app hits an error we send the platform, app version, error message, and stack trace so we can fix it. If you are signed in, the report is linked to your account ID; if not, it is anonymous.
• Advertising Data: Bagchaal shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve them, Google may access your device's advertising identifier and coarse technical data such as device type, OS version, and general region. We never send Google your email address, name, or game data.
• No Analytics: Bagchaal contains no analytics SDK and no third-party trackers beyond the AdMob SDK described above. We do not sell your data, and we never share it with data brokers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the game service
• To enable online multiplayer matchmaking and leaderboards
• To authenticate your account and prevent fraud
• To track your game statistics and match history
• To improve the app and fix bugs
• To send important service-related notifications

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with enterprise-grade security. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and database (stores account and game data)
• Google, Apple & Facebook Sign-In — Optional social login (shares name, email, profile picture)
• Google AdMob — Advertising. May access the device advertising identifier to select and measure ads. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
• Expo — App framework and over-the-air update delivery

6. Children's Privacy

Bagchaal is a strategy board game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. We request only G-rated ad content from Google, and we do not enable personalised advertising for users we know to be underage.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Game history and statistics are kept to maintain leaderboard integrity. You may delete your account and its associated data at any time from Settings inside the app, or by following the instructions at Delete Your Account.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Change your advertising consent at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside the app, and limit ad tracking through your device's own privacy settings

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
